RF measurement tools; VSWR checker

Effective emission from an antenna is important for long range communication. Circuit Design proposes a simple VSWR checker for low power radio product designers.

User’s opinion:

Great! By carefully trimming the elements and watching the LED, it is practical and easy to understand.

For small devices such as mobile units etc. when engineer designs the antenna (by cut and try process), my worry is that the impedance match is made to match with the analyser. If only there was some way to integrate the analyser as part of the main unit, which is not possible in practice.

I think a small indicator like this is ideal for such purpose.
